Brian Macfarlane, Clan MacFarlane Vice President
Flowers Of The Forest
Farewell, Good Sir…
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the untimely passing of our Vice President Brian Macfarlane.
Brian had contracted pancreatitis on December 6th and had been fighting bravely ever since. He is survived by his wife Sheena Macfarlane, their children and their grandchildren. He hailed from Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland. He and Sheena had become semi-retired and were spending their time between Fife and a small town in Brittany, France.
Brian “Am Broc” Macfarlane was not only our Vice President, but a trusted Clansman In Arms. For over 20 years Brian, along with President Michael MacFarlane, traveled across the globe in service to the Clan MacFarlane.
Our clan owes a great deal to Brian in preserving our Clan’s heritage as well as aiding our fundraising efforts, opening our heritage center, fighting for Island I Vow and preserving our Clan’s name in our native clan lands. Most recently Brian was active in the Scottish Independence Movement to achieve Independence for Scotland.
Brian, you will never be forgotten and yes that was all of us yelling “Loch Sloy!” today to warn the dead that a Macfarlane Warrior just crossed over. We promise you that we will finish what we have started, and will never give up!
