DR. JOSEPH MORROW, LORD LYON KING OF ARMS


The Rev Canon Dr. Joseph John Morrow CBE KStJ QC DL FRSE is the current Lord Lyon King of Arms. He was appointed to the office on 17 January 2014 and sworn in before the Lord President of the Court of Session on 27 February 2014. His interests include ecclesiastical history and the practical application of ceremonial to state, civil, military, and ecclesiastical areas of Scottish life, together with over thirty years’ experience in the field of heraldry.

MADAME PAULINE HUNTER OF HUNTERSTON | 30TH CHIEF OF CLAN HUNTER


Madame Pauline Hunter of Hunterston is the 30th Chief of Clan Hunter. Formerly a healthcare professional, she is one of 6 female Clan Chiefs. Madame Pauline works tirelessly to unite the Clan Hunter diaspora and provide stewardship for Hunter family heritage in Scotland. At Hunterston Castle, the clan is constantly being pressured by industrial development surrounding their original Clan lands. That’s why Pauline has made it her Clan’s mission to preserve the Hunter spiritual home for generations of Hunter Clans people to come.

IAIN D. MacGILLIVRAY | COMMANDER, CLAN MACGILLIVRAY


Iain was elected Commander of Clan MacGillivray on April 15th, 2016 at Culloden Battlefield. He was born in Inverness and was raised on Calrossie Farm, near Tain. As a talented Scottish musician and producer – playing bagpipes, fiddle, whistle, and bodhran – Iain produces Scottish / Celtic Electro Dance Pop as well as audio/ visual soundtrack material. He is a champion athlete at the Highland Games, competing in the Track & Field events throughout the Scottish Highland Games circuit.

MACFARLANE’S LANTERN


A special screening of a rare  mini-documentary by John Cooke who travels to Loch Lomond to learn about the turbulent and rich history of the MacFarlane Clan.  He speaks with Brian MacFarlane, late Vice-President of the International Clan MacFarlane Society, about the history of the clan and with Historian George Muir about the legend of MacFarlane’s Lantern.

Arrochar Parish Church in Arrochar, Scotland is home to the graves of MacFarlane ancestors.   Its history goes hand-in-hand with the history of the the MacFarlane homelands.  We will go inside the Kirk with members Rhona Dick, Gayle Stead and Alan Nimmo to get a first-hand look inside this MacFarlane treasure and hear about how the International Clan MacFarlane Society is helping the Church move forward into the future.

ALBANNACH: "ANCESTORS" SPECIAL PRESENTATION


Albannach, Scottish Gaelic for “Scottish,” is a band formed in 2005 in Glasgow, Scotland. Their traditional music is heavily percussive, driven by bass drums, bodhráns, and a single bagpipe. CINDI MCINTOSH | PRESIDENT OF SCOTWEEK, CLAN MACFARLANE PIPER


Cindi is an international competitive piper and and avid philanthropist. She serves on multiple charitable boards in the greater Los Angeles area. As President of ScotWeek, Cindi is passionate about the celebration of contemporary Scottish culture and the unique relationship shared between Scotland and the United States.  Her other accomplishments include serving as Standing Council Member and Official Piper for the Clan Chattan Association of Scotland (the first American and first woman to serve as clan piper).

We are honored to have Cindi McIntosh as our Official Clan Piper. She’ll be performing during the broadcast.
