Mark your calendars for 3rd – 7th April 2024 when the Clan MacFarlane Annual World Gathering will kick off in San Antonio, Texas, USA at the Helotes Fairgrounds. This year’s gathering is not just a meeting; it’s an immersive experience that blends the rich Scottish heritage with a touch of Texan flair.

All International Clan MacFarlane Society members are cordially invited to attend the Gathering. This is a unique event, where MacFarlanes from all over the globe will come together in San Antonio to celebrate our shared culture and history as infamous Cattle Rustlers, as well as to recognise the sacrifice of brave Scots at the Alamo during the Texas Revolution.

Whether you’re a traditionalist or a trendsetter, the dress code invites you to express your individuality while honoring the clan’s roots.

Loch Lomond Initiative

Not only will we be coming together to gather as MacFarlanes but as part of our membership in the Loch Lomond Initiative, we will attend the inter-clan gathering, “Kilts and Cowboy Boots”.  This event,  hosted by Clan Colquhoun, is a celebration of friendship between Clans Colquhoun, MacFarlane, Graham, Buchanan, Hunter and MacEwen . We will celebrate our clans’ combined history and heritage as we meet, greet and compete in (not so) friendly competition as we defend out championship title in the Battle of The Clans.

For hundreds of years Scottish clans in the Lennox fought for domination and resources. Ancient alliances between the MacFarlanes and MacGregors against Clan Colquhoun are well documented. The Battle of Glen Fruin is one of the most famous events.  Today, the diaspora may have ventured far from the rugged Scottish Highlands, but we share the hallowed space of Scottish Games across the globe,  cultivate enduring friendships, bound by unwavering love for Scotland and the rich tapestry of our Scottish heritage.

Defending Our Title – Loch Sloy!
