Meet New Clan MacFarlane Secretary Melisa Bermudez

It is with great pleasure that we announce the installation of Melisa Bermudez as the new International Clan MacFarlane Society Secretary. Melisa has been an invaluable member of our community for years and has served with dedication and passion. Many of you may know Melisa and her husband Bill Bermudez from their time as Commissioners to Northern California, USA. During their tenure, they work tirelessly to promote our Clan's history and culture, organise events and gatherings, and connect members from all around the region.

Now a national treasure, Flying Scotsman is a star attraction in... THE PRESTWICK PIONEERS Prestwick is located in South Ayrshire and is synonymous with Scottish aviation. Ninety years ago this month, on April 3 1933 David McIntyre and Sir Douglas Douglas-Hamilton were the first men to fly over the summit of Mount Everest. The aviators would go on to form Scottish Aviation Ltd at Prestwick, which was the last Scottish aircraft manufacturing company created, as Eric Bryan explains.

We are thrilled to announce the installation of our new International Clan MacFarlane Society Vice President, Jack Knox.  Jack has shown immense dedication to Clan MacFarlane and our Society for over 20 years. His passion and commitment to our cause has been truly inspiring, and we are honored to have him in our ranks. He has played a pivotal role in the growth and success of our organization, and we know that he will continue to make invaluable contributions in his new role as Vice President.
